Eyebrow Threading in Rockwall

Why choose threading as a preferred option?

At first, threading may seem like it should have become obsolete considering other options like threading or tweezing. However, there are a few reasons why many choose to thread. First off, it is far more precise than waxing. Waxing will remove any hair that it touches, and you won't find out until it is too late! Threading allows for a path the technician can follow and easily choose which hair to remove and which hair to leave alone.

Waxing can also prove to be quite abrasive on the skin. Since it is applied at a hot temperature and contains chemicals, it doesn't always agree with sensitive skin. Sometimes it can leave the person with irritated red skin that is sensitive to the touch. Also, the orbital area being such a vulnerable part of the face, not all want chemicals near the area and opt for something more natural – such as tweezing or threading.

Now for tweezing vs. threading

So if you are like most, you have tried some tweezing at home for regular maintenance. Precision tweezers are great for grabbing those hard-to-reach hairs but there are also a few downsides.

1.   Tweezers often have sharp or pointed edges and can leave the skin red and damaged (we've all been there!)

2.   Since most people do not regularly clean and disinfect their tweezers, this can pose a threat to leaving a nasty breakout

3.   Depending on the tweezers, they don't always grab the "sprouting hairs" and they pinch the skin instead. This usually leaves the area looking worse than before you started plucking.

Is brow threading painful?

Yes.

There isn't any way around the pain unless you ask for numbing cream that takes about 30-45min to take effect; let's be honest, no one has time for that.

Since the technique is pulling the hair up from the root, you'll feel the same sensation you do when tweezing. You'll likely think it is more comfortable than tweezing because it's faster and you are dealing with the pain for less time.

Eyebrow threading cost?

The cost will vary from place to place. Some of the more reputable salons make charge upwards of $50 for a full eyebrow shape up that has not been maintained. However, at Brow Beauty by Victoria, you will only pay $12 – the same service most everywhere but we try to keep it as affordable as possible.

How long do threading results last?

This comes down to the customer's preference and how much they want to maintain their brows. We usually find that on average customers come in ever 4 weeks.

Does eyebrow threading work for all?

Yes – there have been rare occasions when one of my microblading customers comes in before their brows have fully healed and we have to postpone the appointment. For the most part, anyone looking to shape their brows is a good candidate for threading.

What are some cons to brow threading?

If you have sensitive skin that reacts to hair removal (tweezing, threading or waxing) you'll likely have some redness and sensitivity. On rare occasions, the orbital area may become inflamed. For most, you'll be fine with carrying-on with the rest of your day!
